Job Description:
Role description:
The People Development Manager works with the business to manage the people development processes, systems, and programs for all business functions in Ardagh Glass Packaging North America.
Responsibilities:
- Perform as plant Learning Management System (LMS) administrator
- Provide leadership to plant hourly trainers and training support personnel
- Mentor and coach designated leaders and trainers in instructional delivery methods and measure the efficacy of training
- Manage the Ardagh Glass Packaging apprenticeship programs
- Monitor and process Department of Labor (DOL) correspondence and administration
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Environmental, Health, and Safety for new hire onboarding training including the execution of technical skills training
- Research state and local funding grants and track progress with the grant provider
- Develop appropriate training materials such as one-point lessons, visual aids, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), PowerPoints, and videos to include e-learning modules
- Coordinate and track on-the-job training including delivering SOP, Technical Operating Procedures (TOP), and Best Practices (BP)
- Conduct training needs assessments to ensure all employees' skills are developed
- Facilitate plant leadership development planning and execution
Minimum skills / qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience working in people development
- Must have prior experience in leading large-scale, system-wide change initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of organizational development & organizational behavior theories, methods, and applications
- Ability to take initiative, possess the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, and have experience dealing with confidential matters
- Ability to interpret and resolve sensitive and complex issues, communicate, respond, and guide all levels of organizational staff Proficient organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of e-learning software and authoring tools
Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline
- Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with union and safety exposure
- MyLearning, Articulate 360, and Camtasia knowledge
- Professional learning and development certifications
