Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Operations Coordinator to join a Government Consulting company located in Silver Spring, MD through hybrid onsite work. The Operations Coordinator will provide operational and administrative support for the Defense Health Agency's Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division (AFHSD), assisting with special projects and coordinating activities with senior-level military public health leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for weekly and ad hoc staff meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting documentation.
  • Manage special projects such as document repository evaluations, data analysis, and business process improvements.
  • Assist in preparing and routing presentations, abstracts, and reports through AFHSD, DHA, and OPSEC approval processes.
  • Draft and edit memorandums, letters, spreadsheets, and other documents using appropriate formats.
  • Maintain branch calendars and provide workflow recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements via the Defense Travel System (DTS), including approvals, transportation, lodging, and payment vouchers.
  • Schedule visits, arrange local transportation, and facilitate visitor coordination.
  • Support task management by distributing requests, consolidating responses, and assisting technical leads.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in administrative management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Defense Travel System.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certified Administrative Professional.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • PMP track required.
  • Prior government project management experience (non-negotiable).
  • Previous military experience preferred.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000 depending on experience
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
  • Clearance Level: Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Location: 3 days/ week onsite in Silver Spring, MD
