Job Description:
Easterseals MORC is seeking Full Time OR Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our Team and provide comprehensive psychiatric services to individuals with mental disorders, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities assigned to the provider's care. This position will conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, make diagnoses and develop recommendations regarding treatment, prescribe medications and conduct medication reviews, order and monitor lab tests and AIMS periodically as needed, implement crisis evaluation of individuals who may need hospitalization or additional precautions or who may need medication to avoid hospitalization, and provide education and training to individuals served, their families, students and residents, and care providers on psychiatric related matters. The psychiatrist will use a computer and will maintain timely records of all items above in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, standards and protocols. In addition, the Psychiatrist will serve as a resource and liaison with community health resources and other medical professionals to insure optimum mental health.
- Responsibilities may be conducted remotely and/or at one of our several locations across southeast Michigan.
- May choose to provide services to Adults and/or Children.

Qualifications:
- Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice
- Board-certification or board-eligibility in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Have at least two (2) years of related psychiatric nursing work experience.
