Our client is seeking a talented Media Relations Specialist for a 1-month contract to support the Media Relations team during a high-output communications period. This is a remote opportunity for a seasoned PR professional who can immediately step in and produce polished, strategic communications and visibility materials for our executive leadership team.
We're looking for someone who knows how to "sell" an organization's mission and leaders to the world-and who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling media kits and speaker proposals for President and executive team.
- Craft messaging that positions EGPAF for global media visibility, policy influence, and fundraising support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather headshots, quotes, bios, and organizational impact stats.
- Leverage existing global media coverage to develop forward-looking talking points and strategy.
- Analyze media mentions using platforms like Muck Rack, and produce a YTD earned media report.
- Refine and expand EGPAF's media contact database, segmented by outlet, beat, and relationship strength.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in media relations, PR, or communications (agency, nonprofit, or corporate experience welcome).
- Proven experience supporting executive visibility and crafting speaker engagement materials.
- Strong portfolio showcasing media kits, speaker proposals, and other external comms assets.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual presentation skills.
- Proficiency in tools like Muck Rack, Excel, and asset management systems.
- Self-starter who can work independently, meet tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of global health, HIV/AIDS, or international development is a bonus, but not required.
