Job Description:

Our team ensures patients receive the high-quality, personalized care they need to overcome mental health and behavioral challenges. We offer a range of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient counseling and therapies.
We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to support the nutritional health, emotional well-being, and developmental needs of adolescents in a residential treatment setting. This role provides trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate nutrition services and works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team to promote safety, trust, empowerment, and healing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trauma-informed intake and ongoing nutritional assessments for adolescent residents
- Complete dietary assessments and develop individualized, culturally responsive nutrition care plans
- Provide family consultations to support continuity of care and reinforce therapeutic nutrition goals
- Facilitate trauma-informed nutrition education groups tailored to adolescents
- Provide specialized consultations and staffing support as needed
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and food service staff to ensure menus support medical, therapeutic, and cultural dietary needs
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to support individualized treatment planning
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of adolescent growth and development within a trauma-informed care framework
- Ability to make competent clinical decisions regarding nutritional needs while maintaining sensitivity to trauma histories
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with clinical, residential, and management teams
- Ability to provide safe, respectful, and empowering nutrition services in a structured residential environment
- Commitment to quality, ethical, and cost-effective care
Qualifications

Age: Must be at least 21 years of age

Education and Experience:
-
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an undergraduate degree in Food Systems Management or Dietetics

Or Clinical Dietetics course work approval by the American Dietetic Association
-
And completion of a one-year dietetic internship

Licensure & Certification:
-
Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) licensure in the state, as applicable

Active registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
-
Active membership with the American Dietetic Association
Work Requirements
- Availability to work 15-20 hours per week
- Availability across at least three (3) days per week to meet resident and facility needs
- Ability to work on-site in a residential adolescent treatment environment
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Experience working with adolescents in residential, behavioral health, or trauma-informed settings
- Familiarity with eating disorders, mood disorders, or co-occurring diagnoses in youth populations
