Job Description:

CTG is seeking to fill a Java & Web Technologies Developer position for our client. 

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months 

Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP (Laravel), JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js, and Golang.

Build and maintain back-end microservices (Node.js/Golang) with REST/GraphQL APIs, implementing secure authN/authZ patterns.

Develop front-end Vue components with state management, Tailwind styling, and accessibility best practices.

Design and optimize SQL/MariaDB schemas, implement caching strategies, and tune database performance.

Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes deployments (services, ingress, Helm).

Ensure high-quality code through testing (unit, integration, E2E), code reviews, feature flagging, and observability monitoring.

Required Skills:

PHP (Laravel), JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue.js, Golang, SQL

Node.js/Golang microservices, REST/GraphQL API design, authN/authZ patterns

Vue component patterns, state management, Tailwind, accessibility (a11y)

MariaDB/SQL schema design, performance tuning, caching strategies

GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, Helm/yaml)

Testing (unit/integration/E2E), code reviews, feature flagging, observability basics

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Kafka (producers/consumers, schema compatibility, retries)

  • MariaDB (ETL/ELT, migrations, performance tuning)

  • GraphQL (schemas, resolvers, federation/gateway patterns)

  • Solid Node.js/Golang (or PHP/Laravel) for connector services; API hardening and error handling

  • Comfortable with GitLab CI and Kubernetes-based deployments

Experience:

  • Proven experience designing and developing web applications using the above stack.

  • Experience with microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and modern front-end frameworks.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-native deployments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $39.00 to $50.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
