About the Role
Title: HR Administration and Compliance Specialist (Remote)

At Genestack we are tackling the underlying computational and scientific challenges of bioinformatics in order to provide researchers with software tools that will streamline the discovery process and drive forward precision medicine, drug development, and bioinformatics research.
We are looking for a passionate HR Administration and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Spain. In this role, you will ensure compliance with Spanish labor regulations and support our HR processes to foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate should have the ability to multitask effectively and handle a wide range of tasks.
In this role, you will:
- Manage employee and company documentation in compliance with Spanish laws.
- Maintain and manage the company’s HR system for Spanish employees and contractors.
- Ensure that HR processes align with Spanish labor regulations.
- Prepare and support payroll processing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR-related queries (e.g., leave requests, benefits, policies).
- Organize employee activities such as team-building events, gatherings, and gifts to foster company culture.
- Coordinate employee business travel arrangements.
- Monitor and manage employee leave (e.g., sick leave, personal days) and maintain proper documentation.
- Support the coordination of employee benefits, including health insurance programs.
We would like you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field;
- at least 2 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or legal role;
- strong understanding of Spanish labor laws;
- excellent written and spoken English skills;
- experience with payroll processes and systems;
- proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
It would be nice for you to have:
- familiarity with benefits administration in Spain, including health insurance and leave policies;
- previous experience in multinational companies or working with distributed teams.
