Project Title: Homepage Programming & Curation Project
Purpose: To deliver homepage programming and curation services for Newsweek during the engagement term.
Newsweek is looking for freelancers to work on a project-basis for up to 6 months.
The work hours need for this project will be Monday - Friday from 7:00 pm ET - 12:00 am ET and/or Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm ET - 10:00 pm ET.
Scope of Work
The contractor will complete the following project-based tasks:
- Curate and program homepage modules to maintain freshness and balance across topics and formats.
- Rewrite headlines for homepage display while preserving accuracy and intent.
- Select or request visuals that align with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with designated contacts for lineup changes and breaking news placement.
- Provide end-of-day summaries and handover notes to subsequent homepage team.
Deliverables
- Continual homepage updates throughout the day per agreed schedule.
Pay Range: $25.00-$35.00/hr commensurate with experience.
