SAFY is seeking a Full-Time Foster Parent Recruiter for our Lexington division located in Kentucky. As a Foster Parent Recruiter, you will be responsible for being the key liaison with the community for recruiting potential foster parents to serve the children in our care.
This position will start out in-office, with the flexibility to become hybrid after some time. There are travel expectations throughout Lexington and surrounding counties. Overall, you’ll be out in the community or meeting with potential families, 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do
- Pursue leads and inquiries from parties interested in becoming foster parents following SAFY’s Customer Experience Roadmap procedures, prioritizing phone and in-person contact
- Build relationships with current and prospective foster parents through 1:1 meetings, planning and executing engagement and retention events.
- Build relationships with potential community partners, including DCBS, local businesses, news media, churches, community volunteers and leaders.
- Works individually and in conjunction with other staff, foster parents, and community-based volunteers to develop and implement an on-going recruitment campaign to attract people interested in becoming foster parents.
- Coordinate, plan, schedule, facilitate or oversee speaking engagements at community/civic organizations.
- Coordinate exhibits and special events. Identify, coordinate, and participate in recruitment opportunities such as foster parent/child welfare conferences, trainings, and community events. Coordinate local advertising and writing of press releases and feature articles for publications.
- Manage budget with guidelines. Monitor competitors’ foster parent recruitment and advertising activities.
- Set your schedule in collaboration with the team. There will be times when you may need to work evenings and weekend days. Your supervisor will work with you to flex time as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related human service area of study required.
- Two years of experience in customer or community relations, service-related sales, or program marketing, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- High level of responsiveness and sense of urgency in serving customers.
- Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

- Targeted hiring range: $44,000.00 - $63,000.00
- Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education and licensure of candidate, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
