About Pryon:

We’re a team of AI, technology, and language experts whose DNA lives in Alexa, Siri, Watson, and virtually every human language technology product on the market. Now we’re building an industry-leading knowledge management and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platform. Our proprietary, cutting-edge natural language processing capabilities transform unstructured data into meaningful experiences that increase productivity with unmatched accuracy and speed.

The Federal Account Executive will drive sales efforts within the U.S. Federal Government, specifically targeting the Army operational components and special operations units. The ideal candidate will leverage your expertise in defense technologies, relationships, and proven sales acumen to complete sales cycles, create new opportunities, and increase value for existing clients. This person will also translate Pryon's cutting-edge AI/ML and natural language processing capabilities into impactful value propositions that address mission-critical needs.

In This Role, You Will:

    • Develop and execute comprehensive account penetration strategies to close business within the US Army and SOCOM.
    • Identify and capitalize on key business opportunities by building strong relationships with military decision-makers and procurement officials
    • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure of large, complex enterprise deals (typically exceeding $1 million)
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, product, engineering) to align strategies and support the sales process
    • Set measurable goals, KPIs, and data-driven strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies (AI, ML, NLP) and translate innovations into actionable business strategies for defense clients
    • Create and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations tailored to audience needs
    • Leverage CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipeline, forecast sales, and report on account activities effectively

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

    • 7-10 years of documented success in federal sales, with a focus on defense-related sectors (Army, special operations)
    • Proven track record of closing large enterprise deals (>$1M) with government agencies, preferably in emerging tech sectors like AI/ML
    • In-depth understanding of DoD operational components, procurement processes, and mission objectives
    • Proficiency in federal sales methodologies, proposal writing, contract negotiation, and compliance with regulations
    • Strong technical expertise and deep industry knowledge aligned with federal government groups
    • Ability to quickly grasp and present technical product capabilities to senior-level public sector clients
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Experience with and understanding of AI, ML, Big Data, analytics, or related technologies (preferred)
    • Established relationships within Army and DoD programs to leverage new business opportunities (preferred)
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field; MBA or advanced degree (preferred)
    • Relevant certifications in sales, account management, or AI/ML (preferred)
    • Prior military service or close working experience with military organizations (preferred)
    • Ability to obtain and maintain government-issued security clearances (preferred)
