The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of crucial, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

The Impact you will have in this role:

We are seeking a visionary leader to take the helm as Executive Director of Technology Research & Innovation, with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies strategy. This role is not just about staying ahead of the curve; it's about defining the curve. You will lead an elite team, driving transformative projects that will shape the future of DTCC and the industry. From piloting groundbreaking AI initiatives to building the foundational enterprise-wide AI platform, you will be at the forefront of innovation. Your leadership will span across vendor selection, industry-wide hackathons, innovation showcases, premier academic partnerships, and thought leadership through high-impact publications and speaking engagements

In this role, you will not only shape the future of AI and emerging technology within DTCC but also drive innovation across the industry. Your leadership will result in the development of innovative technologies that will deliver significant business value, enhance operational efficiency, and build new revenue streams. By forging strategic partnerships, leading thought leadership efforts, and implementing high-profile pilots, you will establish DTCC as a leader in AI and innovation, setting the standard for others to follow. The impact of your work will be felt firm-wide, as you unlock the full potential of AI to transform our business and the industry at large. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that DTCC establishes a role at the cutting edge of technology development, delivering transformative solutions that redefine the future of our industry.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership: Spearhead the ongoing, iterative development of a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with DTCC's long-term goals that drives measurable business value.
• Pilots: Lead the design and assessment of AI & Emerging tech pilots, partner with the execution team to deliver pilots that push the boundaries of what is possible at DTCC, translating sophisticated problems into actionable, scalable solutions.
• AI Platform development: Partner with select vendors and the execution team to ensure delivery of a robust, enterprise-wide AI platform that serves as the backbone for all AI-related initiatives across DTCC.
• Academic partnerships: Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with premier academic institutions, ensuring we remain at the leading edge of AI research and development.
• Innovation showcases: Organize and lead industry-wide hackathons and innovation showcases that highlight our projects and industry projects.
• Thought Leadership: Establish yourself and DTCC as leaders with vision in AI by authoring influential publications, participating in global forums, and speaking at key industry events.
• Team development: Build, mentor and inspire an impactful team. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a proven track record of leading high-impact projects and teams.
• Master's degree preferred with a focus in computer science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
