Achieve Something Great
- Join Liverpool Hospital, a major NSW teaching hospital where you'll gain hands on experience in Orthopaedics/Trauma and Gastroenterology, exposing you to diverse, complex acute care presentations that strengthen your clinical confidence and capability.
- Grow your career in Orthopaedics/Trauma by supporting patients with fractures, multi trauma injuries and post operative recovery, developing advanced skills in pain management, mobility support and acute assessment.
- Build your expertise in Gastroenterology as you care for patients with acute and chronic GI conditions, learning specialised skills in endoscopy support, fluid and electrolyte management and complex symptom monitoring.
- Work in the specialty you love with the opportunity to tailor your placement to your interests whether it's trauma care, surgical recovery or managing complex gastrointestinal conditions.
- Access ongoing education and mentorship supported by experienced clinicians who are committed to helping you progress, upskill and achieve your long term professional goals.
Are You the Right Fit?
- A strong interest in acute surgical and medical nursing motivates you to deliver safe, high quality care to patients recovering from orthopaedic trauma or managing complex gastrointestinal conditions.
- Confidence in clinical assessment and monitoring enables you to recognise changes in patient condition and contribute meaningfully to multidisciplinary care.
- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration helps you work effectively with nurses, allied health, medical staff and support teams in fast paced, high acuity environments.
- A patient centred approach ensures you provide compassionate care that supports mobility, recovery, symptom management and overall wellbeing.
- A willingness to learn and grow drives your engagement with ongoing education, mentorship and skill development across both specialties.
- Strong communication and organisational skills support safe handover, accurate documentation and effective coordination of patient care.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset helps you thrive in dynamic clinical settings where no two days look the same.
