What You'll Do:

    • Be prepared to perform a full suite of editorial services - from Developmental Editing to Proofreading. 
    • Read full-length novels and Editorial Briefs and develop comprehensive plans for how to edit the books. 
    • Work in collaboration with authors of books to restructure and rewrite books to bring them up to top-quality standards.
    • Take creative jumps to radically improve books while staying true to what readers love about them. 
    • Ensure that the language quality of the books is of top standard and that the books are correctly formatted. 
    • Provide comprehensive reporting on the changes made to manuscripts. 

What You'll Bring:

    • Minimum 2 years experience of editing professional English-language fiction 
    • A love for and deep understanding of the Romance genre, particularly with a focus on contemporary, fantasy, and erotica
    • Comfortability with working collaboratively with authors and Inkitt's internal team to edit books
    • A proven track record of being able to meet deadlines and work autonomously
