Job Title: Data Scientist

Position Overview
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team! As a Data Scientist at Elder Research, you will join a functional team of accomplished Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Data Engineers that deliver custom analytic solutions to our federal government clients. Some of your responsibilities will include: conducting data analysis and research, consulting with technical and non-technical stakeholders, exploring and analyzing large structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets using SQL and/or Python, developing and deploying data visualization dashboards, and communicating data analysis results, dashboards and reports to end-users

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Skills / Experience:
- Bachelors degree + 3 years of Data Science Experience with significant coursework in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field that provides a strong theoretical base in mathematics and statistics
- Experience using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and advanced statistical methods (e.g., inferential, predictive) to analyze complex datasets to uncover insights to real-world problems.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining large volume machine learning models in live production environments, using real-world data to make predictions.
- Experience developing and executing analysis plans, including identifying research questions, collecting and preparing data, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, data visualization, and presentation of results.
- Experience composing research reports, white papers, presentations, and other analytical products to communicate study results.
- Experience using collaborative development tools and analytical notebooks (e.g., VS Code, Jupyter Notebook, Docker containers, and Git).
- Experience working in an Agile environment working as a part of teams to share ideas, collaborate, and iteratively develop and deliver data products.
- Experience working with large datasets and entity resolution
Desired Skills:
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining large volume machine learning models in live production environments, using real-world data to make predictions.
- Masters degree or higher with significant coursework in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field that provides a strong theoretical base in mathematics and statistics.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience using programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and advanced statistical methods (e.g., inferential, predictive) to analyze complex datasets to uncover insights to real-world problems.
- Experience using Azure cloud products such as Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Machine Learning Studio, and Azure Kubernetes Services.
