Summary
As a Correspondence Specialist is responsible for but is not limited to, researching, and analyzing incoming Member Complaints, Member Reimbursement requests, Billing and Enrollment inquiries, miscellaneous member correspondences, etc. and determining appropriate paths to follow, creating supporting documentation, processing claims/TARs on final determinations, and extensive communication with members, providers, and additional internal and external customers
Your role in our mission
- Member and Provider Correspondence entry, including but not limited to member and provider information and case documentation into the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) and California Dental – Medicaid Management Information System (CD-MMIS) daily.
- General tracking and updates for all correspondence related to member and provider correspondence. Production tracking in Excel spreadsheets and CRM for reporting purposes.
- Review correspondence and prepare correspondence responses for member and provider correspondence. Verify information and submit documents for mailing.
- Document retrieval, queue monitoring and distribution of incoming member and provider correspondence.
- Provide clerical support and cross-training to support other clerk positions within the work unit. Document pick-up and delivery, mailing of physical documents
What we're looking for
- Strong Communication (oral and written).
- Strong typing and word-processing skills are a must.
- Excellent organizational skills needed.
- Problem-solving, basic math, and computer skills needed.
- Ability to navigate through several work systems simultaneously required. Basic Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge required.
What you should expect in this role
- Must be a resident of the state of California.
- Full-time, hourly position. 8:00AM-5:00PM
- Hybrid, The office is located in the Roseville/Sacramento area

The pay range for this position is $46,800.00 - $66,900.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
