Position Summary

The Communications Specialist will play a key role in enhancing and protecting Coeur's reputation by managing and elevating our digital and social media presence. Reporting to the VP of HR, this role will focus on assessing, cleaning up, and aligning our existing online content while establishing a consistent posting cadence across corporate and six operating sites. The successful candidate will bring creativity, organization, and a collaborative spirit to ensure our communications reflect our values, operations, and achievements.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Audit all existing company social media accounts and online profiles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Develop and implement a regular posting schedule for corporate and site-specific content across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.).
  • Partner with communications contacts at each operating site to gather stories, photos, and updates for inclusion in the content calendar.
  • Create and post engaging, high-quality content (photos, videos, infographics, written posts) that highlights our people, operations, safety initiatives, community engagement, and sustainability efforts.
  • Monitor online engagement, respond to comments/messages as directed, and provide regular analytics reports to leadership.

Internal & External Communications

  • Assist in drafting and distributing employee communications, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Help ensure consistent messaging between corporate and site-level communications.
  • Support the development of press releases, community announcements, and stakeholder updates.

Brand & Content Coordination

  • Ensure all communication materials follow corporate branding guidelines.
  • Maintain a central repository of approved photos, videos, and content templates for use by corporate and site teams.
  • Support event promotion and coverage for corporate and community activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other applicable fields preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in communications or marketing for heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, energy, or a similar sector.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams across multiple geographic locations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $75,000-$80,000 range. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining.
