The Project:
At Cleo, we're reshaping financial health through engaging, conversational AI. This project will elevate financial coaching, combining smart recommendations with an empathetic and bold tone. As part of this effort, we're building a specialised team within our AI/Chat pillar to create innovative, user-centric conversational experiences.

We're looking for a Freelance Creative Copywriter to help us craft witty, impactful, and user-friendly content. This role will focus on crafting innovative, out-of-the-box content that elevates user interactions, enhancing both their chat experience and financial well-being.

What You'll Be Doing

• Crafting Engaging Content: Write witty, impactful conversational copy for Cleo, bringing the brand voice to life in both structured quick-reply flows and more experimental formats.


• Creative Experimentation: Propose and deliver on innovative ideas-games, memes, storytelling elements, or anything that makes the chat experience stand out.


• Proactive Pitching: Research and pitch new conversational content opportunities where Cleo could offer more value to users.


• Collaboration: Partner with conversation designers and product teams to refine content for usability and impact in a conversational interface.


• Cultural Relevance: Stay on top of cultural trends, user preferences, and financial challenges, particularly in the US market.


• Iterative Improvement: Use feedback and success metrics to optimize content for clarity, engagement, and tone alignment.

 

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of creative writing, journalism, comedy, or scriptwriting, with a strong portfolio that highlights your ability to craft humorous and impactful content.


• Tone Mastery: Proven ability to match and sustain Cleo's bold, empathetic, and witty tone across different formats.


• Creativity: A knack for developing unique content ideas that simplify financial concepts in fun and relatable ways.


• Initiative: Enthusiastic about identifying content opportunities and delivering end-to-end-from pitch to publication.


• Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment with frequent feedback loops.


• Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of trends, memes, and behaviors in Cleo's key markets.
