POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Global Social Media team in the Brand Image department, the Content Creator and Video Editor, Global Social Media Creative, position within the CALVIN KLEIN CMO Group will specialize in creating high-impact social-first creative assets (short and longform videos, still photography, graphics) at speed for Calvin Klein’s Global Social Media channels, in alignment with the overarching brand creative guidelines and seasonal direction.
This role requires a deep knowledge of current social media best-practices, trends, and platforms, as well understanding of style and fashion-focused visual storytelling and formats.
The ideal candidate will have experience in content production and execution, including long and shortform video capture, video editing, still photography, and retouching.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Shoot, edit and produce social-first content for Global Instagram, TikTok, YouTube channels in addition to cross-channel placements and emerging platforms, both at Calvin Klein’s headquarters, on-location in New York City, as well as on-set
- Work in parternship with in-house Global Social Creative team comprised of art directors, designers, copywriters and producers.
- Partner closely with Global Social Media strategy team to ideate and execute smart, unexpected creative assets and narratives in alignment with brand identity and current social trends to meet department objectives and KPIs
- Real-time video capture, photography editing, and post production of social-first assets by channel during live events and time-sensitive iniatives – including but not limited to videos and still photographs
- Package and edit incoming influencer, VIP and partner content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, as well as cross-channel placements
- Continuously develop knowledge regarding new design trends, innovation in the creative and social media fields, and technology and pitch new ideas based on cultural trends and past content KPI impact
- Conceptualize and design video content series to be deployed across all social media channels
- Participate in internal meetings as well as interact with external vendors where needed
- Work closely with, communicate and present creative with all key stakeholders and counterparts
- Deliver assets in the correct format and on time
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
5-7 years of social media content creation experience, in house or at an agency. Fashion, beauty and lifestyle experience required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required
Skills:
- Superior understanding of the history of Calvin Klein Advertising and the current Brand platform
- Exceptionally skilled at storytelling through short and longform video formats
- Videography, video editing, still photography and light retouching skills required, with both iPhone and professional equipment
- In-depth knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Suite, inclusive of After Effects
- Well-rounded video and design experience across all social media channels
- Keen sense for color, layout, form, imagery, typography, and composition
- Comfortable and confident directing and interviewing video subjects, including talent
- Obsessed with the ever-changing landscape of Social Media and internet culture at large
- Deep knowledge and ability to keep up to speed on all critical Global and Regional Social Media platforms
- Stays on top of Social Creative trends – out-of-the-box executions, trending talent, and innovative creative partners (photographers, videographers, animators, CGI artists, etc)
- Thrives working at speed of social and pop culture — works nimbly, quickly, resourcefully, and collaboratively.

- Must be comfortable working select evenings after-hours and weekends, as determined by the marketing and cultural calendar

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be responsible for managing and negotiating budgets with outside vendors
DECISION MAKING: Will be responsible for decision making around social media content and strategies
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: This role must be creative in executing creative solutions in relation to social media marketing initiatives including shooting, producing and designing content, impacting strategy, and overseeing content productions.
