Pay Rate: $45 - $50/Hour

We are seeking a skilled Communication Specialist/Document Writer to join our Digital Workplace area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and crafting clear, compelling, and strategic communications that support organizational change initiatives within the Digital Workplace and Service Management. This role requires a strong understanding of organizational change management principles and the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify communication needs and develop strategies that align with organizational change management goals in the digital workplace.
  • Work closely with our Corporate Communications area to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Create, edit, and proofread a variety of documents, including reports, presentations, newsletters, emails, posts and training materials.
  • Develop user-centric documents from technical information, ensuring clarity and accessibility for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
  • Manage the distribution of communications through appropriate channels, ensuring timely delivery and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Support change management activities by developing content that facilitates understanding and adoption of new digital processes, tools and systems.
  • Maintain a repository of communication materials and ensure they are up-to-date and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, webinars, and meetings related to change management initiatives in the digital workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in communication strategy development and document writing, preferably within a change management context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and best practices, particularly in digital workplace settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a digital workplace and/or service management setting.
  • Certification in Organizational Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, CMPC, OCM)
  • ITIL experience/certification.
