Advises students/graduates and partners with them in preparing for pursuit of the entertainment or media industry for which they have trained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Team Manager.

Advises students/graduates in policies and procedures of the Career Development Department.

Create and deliver degree related presentations for both Campus and On-line students.

Meets with students/graduates in Career Advisory Interviews.

Educates and assists candidate graduates with career search practices, including: presentation skills, conducting research, resume review, cover letter writing, developing telephone and interviewing skills, industry etiquette and responsibilities.

Coordinates graduate resumes to appropriate employer leads.

Documents all conversations (personal, phone, email, video meeting, social media, text).

Communicates and delegates assignments to the assistant.

Provides accurate statistical information for the yearly accreditation.

Organizes and develops resources for industry research. Develops outreach practices to assist graduate networking.

May attend industry-related events and presentations.

Duties and assignments as assigned by Team Lead and Associate Director.
Competencies:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Experience preferred in Audio, Music Production, and/or the Music industry.

Ability to work well in a team.

Ability to professionally and patiently navigate through a collective decision-making process that may include several layers of permission and supervisors.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Move with compassion and respect, while maintaining a positive attitude at all times.

Working knowledge of the music industry and live event companies.

Working knowledge of computers and Internet researching.

Self-motivated.
Education and/or Experience:
-
Bachelor degree preferred.
-
Prior experience in the entertainment industry is required (3 years min preferred).
Computer/Equipment Skills:
-
Proficiency using software programs such as Office 365 products, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, DropBox, Zoom Video Conferencing.

Mac OS proficiency preferred.
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Employee must work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods of time. Work is performed on a hybrid schedule, both in an office, classroom, and remote environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active student and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to; bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
