What You Will Get To Do:
- Prepare and conduct first level review of Federal and state partnership tax returns utilizing Go System RIA
- Work with staff to perform the following functions:
- Calculate foreign tax withholding and prepare necessary tax forms
- Prepare quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections
- Prepare book to tax income reconciliation
- Work with staff in the preparation of tax work papers and perform the following tax analyses including:
- Wash Sales
- Constructive sales
- Straddles
- Market Discount
- Swaps – bullet and NPC
- K-1 summary analyses
- Collect and review documentation to support tax return filings
- Perform research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine proper tax treatment of issues
- Analyze company financial statements
What You Will Bring:
- 4+ years of partnership tax experience with a main concentration in either real estate, private equity and/or hedge funds
- Experience with aggregate allocations, layering would be a plus
- Knowledge of foreign reporting requirements
- Solid MS Excel and GoSystems knowledge is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Team player, ability to set priorities and direct team members accordingly, highly organized, attentive to detail and ability to multi-task
