About the Role
As Assistant Technical Designer, you will assist in creating product technical specifications for Kohl’s private and exclusive brand merchandise.
What You’ll Do
-
Collaborate on complex technical packages, ensuring adherence to testing, construction, grading and safety guidelines
-
Organize and schedule sample evaluations in compliance with dimensions, fit, and technique
-
Conduct sample evaluations to ensure they meet requirements for dimensions, product attributes, fit, functionality and technique
-
Summarize sample evaluation results for vendors
-
Collaborate with vendors to resolve product issues and refine details
-
Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have
Required
-
0-3 years of experience in Technical Design, Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Manufacturing, or related fields
-
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
-
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing or a related field
Preferred
-
Experience using PLM and Adobe Illustrator or similar specification packages and sketching programs
-
Knowledge of textiles, construction and pattern making/grading
