The Assistant Sourcing Specialist's responsibility is to work side by side with the Sourcing Specialist to focus and align the Global Sourcing organization to meet the QVC customer demands by offering the highest quality product at the best value possible. Through daily e-mail communication with our offices, agents, and direct suppliers, build strong relationships with our sourcing partners to ensure proper implementation of QVC procedures, adherence to QVC T&A's and proactive identification of issues that could impact the business. Partner with Design/Development to ensure seamless development processes are maintained. Partner with QA and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted flow of merchandise is maintained. Partner with Replenishment, planning and merchandising to ensure Reorders are filled to needs of the business on an on-going basis. Perform duties according to company policies and procedures with latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
Where You'll Work
- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our Studio Park location in West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, DE. Relocation assistance not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with Sourcing Manager, Design and Development throughout our ongoing development process to identify trends and fabrications to be developed by our overseas sourcing partners.
- Identify the sourcing partners and suppliers in collaboration with the Sourcing Manager within our vendor matrix for all pre-season design and fabric development as well as techpack allocation for a specific business as assigned.
- Assist Sourcing Manager in the fabric and trim development processes for the brands assigned.
- Review costing sheets for accuracy. Challenge and negotiate costings to meet Merchant's target prices for specific business as assigned by Sourcing Manager.
- Manage reorder negotiations and allocations with overseas offices. Collaborate with Sourcing Specialists to include new and reorders in materials management to increase efficiencies. Collaborate with Technical Design should a reorder be required to move from existing vendor to assure proper timelines to get Fit approval.
- Assist the Sourcing Specialist in the management and process of approvals for each style's proposed fabrics, trims and colors are on time for development and meet production T&A timing. Ensure that the sampling process follows the timelines as required by the business.
- Manage the coordination of styles through the product development process from initial counter, pre-production and TOP samples and collaborate with the owners of these samples for seamless processing.
- Build relationships with suppliers and offices to streamline day-to-day operations. Participate in vendor education as identified by the business.
- Through constant communication and working within the processes that we have in place, ensure that suppliers adhere to a T&A calendar as well as our quality standards.
- Define and address problems, issues and concerns that impact the operations. Collaboratively update appropriate team members.
- Increase ongoing collaboration with support teams within QVC, including Creative and Technical Design, QA, Supply Chain, Vendor Relations and Legal.
- Global travel. Travel overseas for factory visits, development and production review and relationship building with our vendors and offices.
What You Bring
