About the Position:

The TPA Accounting Specialist is responsible for various day-to-day accounting responsibilities.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Enter and monitor accounting information into QuickBooks and Great Plains

  • Maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts

  • Daily and weekly transactions into QuickBooks, including checks

  • Daily bank reconciliations, including coding and entry

  • Manage and review Zoho tickets assigned to accounting

  • Weekly claim funding reports

  • Various invoicing (FSA/HRA enrollment, Admin Fees, Cobra Premiums)

  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation

  • Review A/R accounts for past due invoices and communicate with groups

  • Monthly financials

  • Distribute year-end reports to Employers

  • Pull monthly and weekly reports for various AP items

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • 1 year of work experience specializing in US health insurance, accounting, banking or similar is required, and 2 years is preferred.

  • COBRA and FSA/HRA knowledge is required.

  • QuickBooks knowledge is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.

  • Good personal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude.

  • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills

Work Location:

This is a remote position working in the Pacific Time Zone, 8am-5pm.

Salary Transparency :

The expected salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. Travel Requirements:

Travel may be required for special events or annual meetings, not to exceed 10%.
