Technology
We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps engineer with experience in application orchestration on a Windows platform. The role requires hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or Chef, along with strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Windows Server administration. Familiarity with WinRM, YAML, JSON, and Azure DevOps is essential, as well as experience using CI/CD pipelines and working within infrastructure-as-code environments. Understanding of networking, security policies, and system hardening on Windows platforms is also expected.
Your activities will include:
- Analyze and document existing manual operational procedures and tasks on Windows systems
- Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks or Chef cookbooks to automate repetitive configuration and setup tasks
- Test automation scripts in development and staging environments to ensure accuracy and idempotency
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to identify automation opportunities
- Maintain and update an inventory of automated tasks and related configurations
- Debug issues in Windows automation tasks (e.g., PowerShell modules, WinRM, file permissions)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Proven experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible or Chef, including scripting for Windows environments
- Deep understanding of the Windows operating system, including PowerShell scripting, WinRM, and system internals
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably C#, with working knowledge of YAML and JSON
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies (e.g., standups, sprint planning)
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git, with experience managing script repositories and branching strategies
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot automation issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions
