Technology 

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps engineer with experience in application orchestration on a Windows platform. The role requires hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and/or Chef, along with strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Windows Server administration. Familiarity with WinRM, YAML, JSON, and Azure DevOps is essential, as well as experience using CI/CD pipelines and working within infrastructure-as-code environments. Understanding of networking, security policies, and system hardening on Windows platforms is also expected. 
Your activities will include: 

  • Analyze and document existing manual operational procedures and tasks on Windows systems 
  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks or Chef cookbooks to automate repetitive configuration and setup tasks 
  • Test automation scripts in development and staging environments to ensure accuracy and idempotency 
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to identify automation opportunities 
  • Maintain and update an inventory of automated tasks and related configurations 
  • Debug issues in Windows automation tasks (e.g., PowerShell modules, WinRM, file permissions) 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management 
  • Proven experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible or Chef, including scripting for Windows environments 
  • Deep understanding of the Windows operating system, including PowerShell scripting, WinRM, and system internals 
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably C#, with working knowledge of YAML and JSON 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies (e.g., standups, sprint planning) 
  • Proficient with version control systems such as Git, with experience managing script repositories and branching strategies 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot automation issues 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment 
  • Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions
