Water Network Improvement Network Specialist

You will implement water network improvement programs to meet strategic objectives for water conservation, water leakage, water continuity and pressure, informed by customer insights, stakeholders, performance data/analytics, and research, balancing cost and risk.

This role is responsible for leading the delivery of cross-enterprise projects for water conservation, water leakage, water continuity and pressure, to meet performance and strategic outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Review and assess new technology and innovations including contributing or leading pilots, reviewing performance, and providing recommendations to operationalise.
  • Assist with the transition of technology from pilot through to operationalisation, through appropriate hold points to ensure value to the business.
  • Contribute to information and data analytics programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness of performance and support the ongoing review of the program, including BAU practices.
  • Cleanse, transform and analyse data to generate insights, apply algorithms and build decision support tools.
  • Contribute to integrated planning for water conservation, leakage management and network performance to deliver efficient, reliable, and customer-focused outcomes.

About you:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, trends and drivers, discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data and performing data cleaning and conversion.
  • Ability to review and investigate performance issues to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Proven experience in the measurement, analysis and evaluation of water systems performance and the ability to develop projects to improve performance.
  • Stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
  • Skilled in applying statistical models, algorithms, and emerging AI techniques for performance analysis and optimisation.
  • Knowledge of water delivery systems.
