We are seeking a Videographer to join our communications team. As a Videographer, you will produce high-quality visual media that supports Buckner’s communications objectives, including marketing, public relations, development, and internal communications. This role plans, shoots, edits, and distributes video and photo content across various platforms, while ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and brand standards. Join our team and shine hope in the lives of others! 

What you'll do:

  • Serves as videographer, equipment operator and editor for Buckner-produced electronic media, including video storytelling, video news, livestreaming events and promotional videos.
  • Produce visual content that supports strategic objectives for Buckner communications functions, including public relations, marketing, development and internal communications.
  • Work closely with key communications team members in marketing, social media, digital communications, development, internal communications and art design to execute projects and campaigns.
  • Efficiently prepare for Buckner video projects, including pre-production planning, subject scripting, subject identification and preparation, and location identification, among others.
  • Conducts video and photo collection, operates equipment, edits digital media.
  • Completes and posts video and photo assets on electronic distribution channels for use by others, including marketing staff, development staff and a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Provides excellent communications and customer service for internal clients, staff, and Buckner clients from project initial request through to completion.
  • Accurately and timely manages projects and assignments and maintains regular updates to communications team and within the project management system.
  • Helps manage the audio/visual production and livestreaming of special events.
  • Maintains video asset library, including storage, organization and dissemination of video assets as needed and in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Captures general b-roll and photos in order to maintain current photo library and produce multipurpose assets for news media, marketing, collateral, and other communications needs.
  • Maintains freelance professional directory and assists in managing freelance visual content specialists on outsourced projects.
  • Coach and educate members of the communications team regarding visual content collection through one-on-one and group educational opportunities and instruction.
  • Ensures all business records, such as client photo consent forms, are maintained in compliance with all corporation policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all business-related information and data and control release of confidential information and data from release to all unauthorized persons or entities.

 What you’ll bring:

  • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge as evidenced by the attainment of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience such as video production, journalism, communications, public relations or related field. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of prior related experience preferred.
  • Prior related experience in videography, production and related fields. Nonprofit marketing communications and/or development preferred.
  • Prefer experience with different media formats and purposes, such as news media b-roll, marketing, social media, fundraising, etc.
  • Still photography experience preferred.
  • A/V scripting experience preferred.
  • Must have the ability to operate Electronic News Gathering and DSLR camera platforms. Must have experience with industry standard lighting, audio and video production equipment. Must have the ability to interview subjects.
  • A/V operational experience during live events is preferred.
  • Requires high level of efficiency using editing software programs, such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop as well as Microsoft Office Suite, and a willingness to learn new programs.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.
  • Requires ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Requires recognition that the organization is a faith-based organization operating with a commitment to Christian principles.
  • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and /or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
  • Work deals mostly with objects, equipment and/or machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner’s insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
