You and Your Job The objective of this role is to participate in the marketing, structuring, execution, and management of Loan Syndication activity, as well as providing consultation and origination of other Capital Markets opportunities for a designated area, sector, or market segment at Rabo AgriFinance in an advisory capacity.
The Syndications Officer will collaborate within a deal team setting and will handle tasks such as structuring and negotiating loan packages, securing mandates from clients, identifying and successfully syndicating with potential investors, overseeing the loan closing process, and managing communications with clients or investors throughout primary syndication and for any modifications, extensions, and renewals. Additionally, the Syndications Officer will be accountable for establishing and nurturing banking relationships with various potential investor groups, including banks, loan funds, financial institutions, Farm Credit Banks, Insurance Companies, private equity firms, and junior capital providers. They will also participate in Loan Origination activities when financial institutions sell transactions to the Bank.
Job Responsibilities
- 5% Monitor and analyze F&A loan market trends and maintain transaction comparisons.
- 15% Engage with and nurture relationships with key banks, financial institutions, and equity sponsors involved in agribusiness and agricultural production transactions aligned with the Banks target market.
- 15% Collaborate with CRT, Credit, and Senior Management to create customized syndication strategies for individual clients.
- 25% Evaluate, Structure, and Present loan syndication proposals to clients and potential partners.
- 25% Discuss, Initiate, and Finalize primary loan syndications, modifications, and extensions for significant and intricate credit deals.
- 15% Prepare pitch materials, proposal documents, term sheets, commitment letters, financial evaluations, offering memorandums, lender presentations, and syndication reports for substantial & intricate credit transactions.
Your Promise to Us: To be considered for the VP - Syndications Officer role, you must have:
- Bachelor degree or 7+ years of experience (preferably Finance/Acctg/Ag Econ) major
- Ability to travel regionally and Globally, up to 35% of the time regionally.
- Knowledge and experience in credit analysis.
- Familiar with procedures and facts relevant to a loan syndication professional within Rabobank.
- Thorough understanding of all relevant banking regulations, Bank policies and limits, and Bank products.
- Plans and organizes own work, uses time effectively, sets appropriate priorities, and anticipates business needs.
- Reliably organizes work, works effectively and efficiently, prioritizes work and anticipates business need.
- Proactive and assertive when dealing with business issues.
- Juggles multiple responsibilities/projects simultaneously.
- Communicates all matters of importance to colleagues and clients. Has skill in transmitting and receiving information orally and in writing with groups or individuals.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Salary Expectations: Target Hiring Range: $155,000 - $195,000 This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
