About the Role
Freelance UX/UI Designer
Digital - Los Angeles, California (Remote)
We're building a freelance bench of UX/UI Designers to collaborate on digital experiences for higher education clients. You'll design interfaces and user flows that are intuitive, engaging, and visually aligned with brand identities.
Responsibilities
- Create institutional design systems and interactive campaign microsites
- Collaborate with UX strategists, researchers, developers, and writers to create cohesive user journeys
- Build and maintain design systems using atomic design principles
- Design micro-interactions and motion elements that enhance user experience and brand expression
- Ensure designs are accessible, responsive, and optimized for performance across devices
- Support usability testing and iterate based on feedback
Requirements
- 3–5 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally within an agency or digital product setting
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for prototyping and collaboration
- Strong understanding of atomic design principles, interaction design, accessibility, and responsive design
- Experience with motion design a plus
- Ability to present and rationalize design decisions clearly
