The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to support the underwriting team by providing data analysis, assisting in underwriting activities, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Additionally, the role involves partnering with specialized areas to drive innovation, resolve complex business issues, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements to deliver quality customer service.

Location: New York City (55 Water Street, NYC)* Work Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week * The starting salary for this role is between $75,000.00 and $113,000.00

Your new role

  • Develop, document, and implement workflow processes to improve service quality for internal and external customers.

  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy, and completeness, and resolve complex issues.

  • Provide expertise for projects and complete assignments accurately and on time.

  • Complete and distribute monthly and quarterly management reports with clear definitions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate training programs for staff.

  • Review data for integrity and compliance, escalating issues as needed.

  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations.

  • Assist in planning, developing, and evaluating underwriting functions.

  • Align individual performance with department expectations and industry standards.

Work Experience:

  • Some relevant work experience.

  • Reinsurance experience in the insurance industry with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Underwriting experience in the insurance industry with increasing levels of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
