The Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant. As a Theatre Assistant, you will be working within the Operating Theatre and Supply Departments, with responsibilities including:

• Working with and assisting Supply and Operating Theatre staff
• Setting up consumables and other specialty instrumentation for theatre cases
• Receive, accept, check and unpack deliveries against delivery dockets
• Process goods receipts and purchase orders
• Assist with annual and half-yearly stocktakes
• Maintain accurate and detailed sterile stock levels for operating theatre requirements.

Skills and Experience

An interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

You will also bring:

• Certificate III or Certificate IV Level in relatable field, or AIN Certificate 
• Experience within a health care setting would be beneficial
• Great organisational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment
• Excellent customer service focus
• Availability for a range of shifts across a 5-day roster
