The Job:
As PIM Technical Manager, you'll be part of our Corporate IT team working as a remote employee. We are seeking an industry leading Salsify Technical Manager - a highly hands-on, deeply technical expert to own and advance our entire product information management ecosystem within Salsify. This role demands unparalleled mastery of Salsify's platform capabilities, architecture, APIs, and integrations to drive scalable, automated, and error-free product data flows across global digital properties, marketplaces, and retail channels. You will be the go-to authority for customizing, extending, and optimizing Salsify to accelerate product launches and enable best-in-class digital commerce experiences worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, configure, and extend the Salsify platform with advanced scripting, custom APIs, and automation workflows tailored to complex global product data needs.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable workflows for product data ingestion, validation, enrichment, syndication, and publishing within Salsify.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot deep integrations between Salsify and key systems including DAM (e.g., Bynder), CMS, translation management and Shopify.
- Own middleware, API connectors, and integration documentation, ensuring security, performance, and scalability at all touchpoints.
- Establish and enforce rigorous data governance, validation rules, and quality controls directly in Salsify, proactively monitoring data health and remediating issues.
- Automate onboarding, localization, enrichment, and syndication processes leveraging Salsify's tools and best practices.
- Provide expert technical support, training, and mentorship to cross-functional teams on leveraging Salsify to its fullest potential.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new Salsify features, AI enhancements, and third-party integrations to maximize platform ROI and operational efficiency.
The Person:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Salsify as a core PIM platform, with demonstrable expertise configuring and extending Salsify at scale.
- Mastery of Salsify APIs, including RESTful services, JSON/XML payloads, scripting (Python, JavaScript), and workflow automation within the platform.
- Proven track record integrating Salsify with Bynder, Shopify, translation management systems, and other enterprise platforms.
- Strong expertise in product data governance, taxonomy design, validation, and global localization best practices specifically within Salsify.
- Preferred: experience with regulatory compliance workflows, Agile development practices, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps tools related to PIM environments.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is 108,000.00 - 194,400.00 USD Annual per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
