About the Role
Title: Team Lead, Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics (Hybrid)
Locations: Westwood-MA; Berlin-CT; Manchester-NH
Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading enterprise-wide supply chain systems and analytics initiatives to drive operational performance, compliance, and strategic value. The role provides functional ownership of procurement-related systems (ERP, sourcing, contract management, supplier management), performance reporting, and analytics across the supply chain lifecycle—from business request through sourcing, materials planning, logistics, and accounts payable. The incumbent serves as a cross-functional liaison and Subject Matter Expert, ensuring business process alignment, system usability, risk mitigation, and data-driven decision making grounded in Total Cost of Ownership. The role also supports documentation, training, and change management, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement across the procurement and material planning organizations.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Leads strategy and governance of supply chain systems and analytics across procurement and materials planning.
- Oversees system lifecycle and performance management for ERP, sourcing, and supplier platforms.
- Manages change control, stakeholder engagement, and testing plans associated with system enhancements and upgrades.
- Develops and maintains enterprise-wide frameworks for compliance, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), vendor risk, and supplier engagement.
- Drives supply chain transformation, process improvement, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
Systems Ownership, Administration & Training
- Serves as functional SME and administrator for procurement systems, coordinating with IT on configuration, upgrades, testing (e.g. user acceptance testing), and issue resolution.
- Leads documentation development (SOPs, user guides, workflows) to promote standardization and training.
- Designs and delivers systems and process training for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Supports system change management initiatives to ensure adoption and minimize disruption.
Analytics, Reporting & Data Modeling
- Leads development and delivery of analytical models, dashboards, and performance scorecards (e.g., procurement metrics, savings, spend, SRM, compliance).
- Applies advanced data analysis and visualization techniques to inform sourcing decisions, supplier strategy, and process improvements.
- Conducts root cause analysis and forecasting to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities.
- Supports category reviews, planning, and strategic sourcing through data insights.
Risk Management & Benchmarking
- Evaluates supplier performance and market risks through benchmarking, market research, and KPI analysis.
- Leads competitive intelligence and industry comparisons to inform continuous improvement and sourcing strategy.
Collaboration & Business Partnership
- Builds strong relationships with business units, IT, legal, finance, materials planning, and operations.
- Acts as liaison for complex supply chain challenges, resolving issues collaboratively across departments.
- Provides coaching and support to supply chain analysts and peers in analytics, systems, and compliance best practices.
Program & People Leadership
- Manages and mentors analysts supporting systems and analytics.
- Oversees supply chain reporting processes and standardization.
- Supports talent development, cross-functional training, and succession planning.
- Serves as PMO lead for major supply chain projects and reporting initiatives.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Supply Chain Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, materials management, logistics, and AP integration.
- Familiarity with supplier performance management, compliance, and risk frameworks.
Systems & Administration
- Functional leadership of ERP and procurement systems (e.g., sourcing, contracting, SRM platforms).
- Experience coordinating with IT for system upgrades, testing, integrations, and issue resolution.
- Knowledge of systems governance, controls, and documentation standards.
- Proficiency in change management processes.
Analytics & Tools
- Expertise in data modeling, dashboard development, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL-based reporting, and data extraction utilities.
- Programming aptitude and experience with data marts or warehouses is a plus.
Strategic Insight
- Ability to translate business priorities into KPIs, scorecards, and decision-support tools.
- Experience conducting cost modeling, forecasting, and root cause analysis.
Leadership & Communication
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage through influence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership and training diverse teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field)
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement systems, or analytics
- Experience implementing process improvements, leading change initiatives, and working with IT and data teams.
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
