Systems Engineer II

Title:  Systems Engineer II (Reno, Las Vegas)

Everi is looking for a Systems Engineer II to join our Information Technology Team!
The position is open in Reno (Remote) or Las Vegas (Hybrid). 

What Will You Be Doing?

• Performs the testing, documentation, and engineering support of key production systems. 
• Works with internal information service teams in improving system or network uptime and engineering level support as needed.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and design strategic solutions and data services.
• Applies and maintains data verification methods, disaster recovery, and archive solutions. 
• Supports development by ensuring a segregated test environment prior to promoting new products and services to production.
• Monitors and maintains compliance PCI, PII, SOX, and other jurisdictional compliance standards.
• Assists in maintaining and procuring equipment.
• Supports PKI and other security related solutions.

 

Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:

Education / Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience required.
• VMware and Microsoft certifications preferred. 

Job Knowledge / Minimum Work Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in an engineering role; IT experience preferred.
• Demonstrated solid experience with networks, systems, security, relational databases, and architecture processing functions.
• Proven success troubleshooting computer/server hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Patching and security remediation experience. 

Computer / Technical Skills:

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and servers, including Office 365.
• In-depth understanding of operational dependencies of applications, networks, systems, security, and policy.
• Demonstrated proficient knowledge of VMWare, ESXi, VSphere, VCenter, and SRM.
• Proven success maintaining and modifying infrastructure and schema.
• Proven success with automation and scripting tools.
• Understanding of three tier architecture for applications.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL server-based applications.

PlayThe compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000 - $ 90,000 annually.
