Job Description:

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Junior Analyst) to provide on-site support to the Department of the Navy, analysis, and troubleshooting of various communication systems. The work will be conducted at Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), St. Inigoes, MD and on various job sites.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 3 on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, support and maintain Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems; coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and external vendors.
  • Document maintenance, repair and test activities; include documentation updates as an integral part of every project.
  • Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems.
  • Create and maintain reports, schematics, system documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Track configuration management of software versions on various systems.
  • Create and maintain user accounts and install hardware/software.
  • Monitor status of LAN/WAN and circuit switching systems.
  • Perform QA evaluations to ensure compliance with technical orders and manufacturer specification sheets.
  • Research data and develop analytical techniques and methodologies.
  • Write, support, and assist in the development of system test plans.

Travel

Travel up to 35% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years' experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, network security, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis, requirements planning, resource scheduling, CM, and documentation management
  • 1-3 years' experience with DOD/Military RF communication systems (VHF, UHF, SATCOM)
  • Active Security+ CE certification
  • Active Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or an equivalent OS cert)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • COMP TIA, A+, and CCNA or CCNP & CCIE
  • Experience in active directory, domain configuration, and management
  • Experience in group policy management
  • Knowledge in the application of DoD STIGs and configurations
  • Experience with MUOS and or ARC-210 radio systems
  • Experience with access control, firewalls, and network security
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must possess a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects

For this position, the projected compensation range is $70,000 - $75,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.
