Who You Are

You'll be a member of the Lockheed Martin, Global Supply Chain, Procurement Specialist, Staff team.

What You Will Be Doing

You'll.......

  • Procure construction services, architectural and engineering service, facilities services and capital equipment through the administration of purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Lead the development of subcontract statements of work and terms and conditions in support of Aeronautics facilities and operations.
  • Issue requests for proposals, conduct bidders' conferences, evaluate proposals, negotiate contract price, terms and condition, select sources, write subcontract packages, prepare awards and administer subcontracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships, quality and delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Integrate effectively with other departments to achieve customer objectives.
  • Mentor teammates formally and informally.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Experience with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP) or equivalent purchasing/ERP system, such as Procure to Pay
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A professional work history of increasing responsibility, and team leadership
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

  • Prior professional experience with architectural and engineering, construction and professional services acquisitions.
  • Experience with commercial item procurement
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally, building consensus and shaping/influencing opinion.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Ability to effectively engage with supplier senior executives as necessary.
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of management.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
