Job Description

Applies knowledge of business unit and knowledge of systems technology to provide analytical and statistical support. Analyzes structure and flow of work through unit; may recommend changes to improve operations. Provides consultation to management recommending solutions to business problems. Coordinates functional requirements of business unit and technical solutions with system personnel. May monitor system needs and design new or modify existing systems to meet changing requirements. In addition, identifies and anticipates problems and conceptualized solutions.

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities that reduce costs, improve performance, and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain departmental dashboards, scorecards, and routine reports that support Supply Chain performance, strategic initiatives, and goals leveraging various business intelligence tools and platforms.
  • Develops performance measures through the extraction of data and performs complex analysis and modeling.
  • Collaborate with procurement, category management, contract management, and materials teams to deliver timely information and support innovative solutions for providing exceptional service to our internal and external partners.
  • Present clear and actionable recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data that support Supply Chain partners and leadership with decision criteria and actionable intelligence.
  • Support category strategies with analytics and scenario models where appropriate.
  • Track and report Supply Chain value through data modeling and the collection of partner submissions of reported value opportunities.
  • Provide support analytics to identify and communicate supply chain risk.
  • Ensure data integrity through appropriate data quality validation and continual improvement of data collection and models.
  • Partner with Enterprise Technology teams to enhance Supply Chain systems and ensure data integrity through various connected environments.
  • Provide analytics supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management systems such as inventory, safety stock, demand/supply forecasting using advanced analytic tools and methods.

Minimum Qualifications

Business Analyst II:

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Science, Math, or related field
  • 3+ years' relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, logically analyze problems of limited complexity, analyze data, and reach logical conclusions and create moderately complex queries within a domain
  • Ability to perceive and define cause-and-effect relationships in business processes and systems
  • Skill in understanding the implications of new information for current and future problem-solving and decision-making as well as demonstrated skill in the use of analytical tools and data analysis methods

Hiring Range: $74,611 to $96,621

Business Analyst III meets above requirements plus:

  • 6+ years' relevant experience
  • Ability to develop level-appropriate procedures and create complex queries within a domain
  • Skill in researching, writing, and presenting complex analysis with demonstrated ability at conducting and analyzing complex analysis and research and communicating results to a broad variety of audiences

Hiring Range: $84,939 to $110,421

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of utility business, operations, and supply chain preferred
  • General knowledge of a variety of end-user tools and applications, such as CC&B, Maximo, Cognos, MS Office, GL Wand, SQL, Tableau, or advanced Excel

Other combinations and education and experience may be considered.

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with additional day(s) determined by the manager.

In compliance with state laws, we provide the full salary range for each position, along with the typical hiring range based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $74,611 to $135,903.
