The Staff Accountant I / II is responsible for supporting accounting operations for US-based clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
- Record and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and intercompany activity.
- Maintain accounts payable in QuickBooks, including Bill.com integration and reconciliation.
- Post routine journal entries accurately.
- Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month/year end closes.
- Prepare compiled non-disclosure financial statements.
- Execute basic Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and fundamental accounting principles (debits/credits).
- Partner with client teams and internal staff to deliver accurate and timely reporting
Requirements
What Skills You’ll Bring:
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with US-based clients and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
