ABOUT THE ROLE 

Responsible for the planning and execution of quality assurance (QA) processes and activities to ensure that software applications and systems conform to user requirements and are “defect free”. Provide technical and operational support for software testing efforts. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for software quality assurance and testing support for a variety of software projects. You will plan test scenarios, execute test cases, report test results, and collaborate with agile team members to deliver sprint objectives. 

The Details: This is a remote full-time contract position for 2025, with the potential to extend into 2026.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of QA methodology, practices, and different types of testing e.g. functional, regression, integration, data validation, usability, performance etc. 
  • Fluent in simple test plans and detailed test cases 
  • Requirements analysis, test case identification and execution, tracking of defects and delivering on commitments within agile sprints 
  • Knowhow to test stored procedures and functions on SQL Server 
  • Exploratory testing 
  • Postman or a similar tool for API testing 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Azure experience a big plus 
  • Basic UI test automation experience or Python experience a plus 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

  • 5 years of software quality assurance / testing experience 
  • 5 years of SQL experience preferably with SQL Server 
  • 3 years of experience testing on an agile team 
  • Healthcare industry experience a big plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience 

 

Pay Range: This position offers an hourly pay range between $60.00 - $80.00, considering the candidate’s experience and location.
