YOUR MISSION
You have a flair for creativity and world building. A passion for crafting captivating visual narratives and persuasive experiences. As a Senior UI/UX Art Director, reporting to the Brand Creative Director, you will be responsible for developing innovative and compelling digital User Experiences across various channels, including but not limited to websites, digital campaigns, social media, CRM and even beyond digital. You'll collaborate closely with our digital ecosystem team plus our marketing, design, and content teams to bring our core brand vision, and our many evolving IPs, to life and engage our audience in meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead Creative Development: Provide creative and design concepts to support multiple business objectives, ensuring visually compelling and user-centric solutions.
· Digital-First Thinking: Stay ahead of emerging platforms, trends, and technologies to drive innovative digital experiences.
· Brand & Vision Alignment: Uphold and evolve the company’s visual identity while ensuring consistency across all brand touchpoints.
· UX & UI Strategy: Develop and refine wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, and functional designs to create seamless user experiences.
· Art Direction & Execution: Provide hands-on design expertise, including layout, composition, asset development, and digital ad placements. Establish and maintain robust Design Systems.
· Quality & Compliance: Ensure all creative assets adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of quality and visual integrity.
· Approval & Archiving: Manage the internal approval process and maintain an organized archive of digital and print assets.
· Project Consultation: Advise project managers on development timelines and propose effective project plans to achieve desired results.
· Strategic Consultation: Collaborate with digital analysts, strategists, and planners to optimize user experiences, implement best practices, and stay ahead of market trends.
· HUGE PLUS: If you have the talent to transform great creative concepts into advertising campaigns that extend beyond the screen—such as OOH, guerrilla marketing, videos, and other experiential formats—consider it a major advantage.
YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, UI/UX Design, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field.
· 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, digital art direction, or creative leadership roles.
· Proven track record in leading design teams and overseeing projects from concept to execution.
· Experience working in marketing, branding, advertising, or digital product design for agencies, tech companies, or in-house creative teams.
· UI/UX Design: Proficiency in creating wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, and interactive prototypes.
· Design Software: Mastery of industry-standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects).
· Design Systems: Experience in building and maintaining scalable design systems.
· Web & Mobile Design: Strong understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
· Prototyping: Experience with InVision, Framer, Principle, or similar tools.
· HTML/CSS Knowledge: While not mandatory, basic understanding of front-end development is often a plus.
· Strong ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, and marketing teams.
· Ability to translate business goals into effective visual and user experience strategies.
· Experience in branding, storytelling, and user psychology.
· Strong understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and digital marketing strategies.
· Excellent communication & presentation skills (ability to pitch creative ideas and design concepts to stakeholders).
· Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to nuance and detail in design.
· Adaptability & curiosity for emerging design trends, platforms, and user behaviors.
· Time & project management skills to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
· Experience in motion design, 3D design, AR/VR, or interactive media is a plus.
· Understanding of growth marketing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and performance-driven design.
· Experience working on large-scale digital campaigns, OOH advertising, or experiential marketing.
· Based in Montreal and bilingual is a must.
