Overview

FWI is building a team to provide IT transformation and programmatic advisory support for HHS's Office of Grants, ensuring modernization activities across Grants.gov, GrantSolutions, and TAGGS deliver measurable progress toward a unified, secure, and sustainable grants ecosystem. As a Senior Technical Director, you will define and govern the enterprise architecture framework and provide strategic technical guidance to ensure modernization efforts are architecturally sound and operationally feasible.

Position is contingent upon contract award

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern enterprise and technical architecture for the grants ecosystem
  • Develop reference architectures and solution standards
  • Lead data and AI architecture strategy aligned with Federal standards
  • Conduct technical assessments and identify modernization priorities
  • Advise DIS leadership on major technology and investment decisions
  • Guide software development and quality assurance practices
  • Provide architectural oversight across vendors and directorates

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in enterprise architecture roles
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification desired
  • Experience with cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and AI/ML concepts
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences
