About the OPPORTUNITY:

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for supporting business-critical applications? Join our dynamic team at BAE Systems Australia as a Senior Systems Analyst, where your expertise will help drive performance, reliability, and innovation across our business systems.

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you'll be the go-to expert for application support, configuration, and enhancement. Working closely with the Manager - Business Systems, you'll build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors to ensure our systems are running smoothly and evolving with business needs.

This position can be based out of our Adelaide or Melbourne office with flexible work arrangements such at working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid work environment on offer.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide first and second-level support for business applications
  • Diagnose and resolve application incidents within agreed SLAs
  • Monitor performance and conduct routine maintenance
  • Configure and update applications based on business or technical requirements
  • Liaise with project managers and vendors for implementation and deployment of systems
  • Assist with testing, deployment, and change management
  • Maintain documentation including user guides and wiki articles

About You:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical proficiency in application platforms and databases
  • Familiarity with IT service management practices (e.g., ITIL)
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments
  • Tertiary qualification in technology, engineering or similar is considered desirable
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1
