Job Description:

This role is hybrid 2 days on site in our Chicago office.

We are not able to support outside the IL sate employment.

The Senior Staff Engineer - Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive solutions to our internal and external customers. This role will have hands-on architectural, engineering, and operational responsibilities, as well as technical leadership and expert level troubleshooting duties.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement & support highly automated application integrations with IGA platform to elevate security and compliance. Experience should include using the following integration methods: BeanShell/Java, API (REST/SOAP/SCIM), LDAP (AD), JDBC, and delimited/flat file.

  • Experience in non-human, cloud, and SaaS identity and access management.

  • Customize IGA platform to support lifecycle management (JML) processes, workflows, tasks/rules, and reporting.

  • Interfacing with internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate documenting and analysis of requirements, solution design, development, testing, and Production deployment.

  • Focus on process improvements via innovative methods to assist in the automation of manual tasks.

  • Monitor and support day-to-day operations related to system performance, functionality, and end user queries.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, participate in on-call rotation/DR Test, and develop solutions and processes to eliminate off hours support calls.

  • Expected to be a key contributor in roadmap development and platform architecture to advance the IGA program and add continuous value for our user community.

  • Understanding of custom changes to platform and impacts related to version upgrades.

  • Advancing the RBAC program through data analysis and outreach to create and update roles to meet the needs of our business users, with the aim of reducing time associated with requesting and reviewing access.

  • Assist with response to regulatory, audit, and compliance requests.

  • Experience working in and managing projects following Agile methodologies and processes.

Minimum Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in deploying and managing an IGA platform [SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ), Saviynt Security Manager, IBM Security Identity Governance and Intelligence (IGI)] with a demonstrated ability to work across a broad range of technologies, such as multi-tiered architecture, databases, and LDAP to deliver complex solutions.

  • Subject matter expert for core IGA capabilities: Identity Lifecycle Management, Access Management, Identity Governance, Access Certification, and RBAC/ABAC/PBAC.

  • Experience with one or more databases: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostGress, and Cloud SQL

  • Advanced skillset in collaboration and can lead team-oriented projects effectively without the need for guidance or support across all situations.

  • Strong familiarity with security issues surrounding Identity Access Management and experience in implementation of security systems and controls. Must have a deep knowledge of security components, principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience with identity lifecycle management and access management technologies

  • Understanding of information security components, principles, practices, and procedures

  • Ability to conduct data analytics, resulting in actionable insights

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • 2 - 3 years managing cross-functional projects preferred

Formal Education & Certification

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or demonstrated work experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cloud and Privileged Access Management Platforms

  • Experience with Cloud technologies: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, SSCP, Security+, etc.) or advanced degree
