Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience across AWS, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL. This hybrid role focuses on designing and building scalable, responsive applications that meet business objectives. Ideal candidates will demonstrate full-stack proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to engineering excellence.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring some days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust software solutions using AWS, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable applications that enhance user experience
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and applying best practices
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability and functionality
- Participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and quality
- Implement security measures to safeguard applications and data
- Work with DevOps teams to streamline deployment and improve system reliability
- Document software designs, specifications, and user guides for knowledge sharing
- Contribute to agile development practices including sprint planning and retrospectives
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing complex applications using AWS, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL
- Strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end development
- Expertise in MySQL and database management with a focus on performance and data integrity
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive approach to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving project needs
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between 120,500 - 141,500k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
