Job Description:

Overview

FedWriters is building a team to develop and implement training and assessment programs designed to increase the enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of National Guard Youth Challenge Program locations. The Senior Project Manager will lead training and assistance support for NGYCP sites nationwide. You will develop evaluation tools, conduct site visits, and implement training initiatives to increase enrollment, retention, and graduation rates while ensuring program quality and consistency.

The National Guard Youth Challenge Program (NGYCP) is a military-based training program that helps at-risk youth improve their life skills and employment potential. With 46 sites across 28 states, it provides structured programming focused on academic excellence, life coping skills, job skills, and responsible citizenship.

Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Travel will be required for site visits, workshops and in-person training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop statistical evaluation tools to assess program effectiveness
  • Conduct on-site visits and training workshops at NGYCP academies
  • Assess performance in recruitment, cadet retention, staff training, and academic achievement
  • Review and develop training curricula and materials
  • Facilitate national and regional workshops for NGYCP staff
  • Manage the Challenge National Website and learning management system (Challenge-U)
  • Publish quarterly NGYCP Training Newsletters
  • Provide monthly reports and recommendations to the government

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing large complex Federal Government projects
  • 5+ years of management level experience with residential youth outreach programs
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data related to youth metric-based information
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with curriculum development and training program implementation
  • Willingness to travel to NGYCP sites nationwide
