Job Description

The Corporate IT Digital Media Engineering team is looking for a seasoned team leader who is passionate about how to shape Visa's future way of working and collaborating. Our team is focused on being a trusted partner and helps enable fellow colleagues to communicate and connect anywhere in the world. This candidate is a thought leader who is highly motivated in figuring out how to transform Visa into the best place to work, communicate, and collaborate. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of application life cycles from conception to deployment to operations. This candidate will have a deep technical knowledge of video meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex. In addition to workplace technology and live event platforms such as QSC, Mural, Appspace, Swoogo, On24, VBrick, and CXAI. It is essential this candidate understands best practices in enterprise application life cycle and development. This candidate has the ability to always stay ahead of company policies and industry trends.

This role will be highly collaborative and responsible for key partnerships with IT Support, IT Engineering, PMO, Facilities, Construction and Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Visa University, vendors, and other key Visa stakeholders. This person will be a key driver in implementing new technologies and innovative solutions throughout all of Visa. It's very important for this candidate to have a positive can-do attitude, incredibly organized, tenacity in solving problems, strong team player, and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Lead a small group of application administrators and engineers.
  • Use your expertise to get into the technical weeds and do what it takes to get the job done.
  • Ensure accountability and set short-term and long-term objectives and goals through OKRs.
  • Create and own 1-3-5-year technical roadmaps.
  • Create reports and KPIs to ensure the team is performing at peak efficiency.
  • Design and build automation and integrations for core digital media platforms.
  • Drive project scopes and partner with stakeholders, IT architects, IT engineers, IT support, cyber security, vendors, etc. and ensure projects are completed according to design specifications.
  • Provide stellar customer service and consulting for internal stakeholders.
  • Creating complex reporting and monitoring through PowerBI.
  • Manage IT support tickets and lead the team in troubleshooting and resolving escalated engineering issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead and own proof-of-concept (POC) tests and validation on new and emerging digital media technologies.
  • Control and own application life cycle for all digital media applications.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is up to date and ensure proper support operations handoff.
  • Create and own application global standards and best practices.
  • Train and mentor other team members.
  • Be an industry leader and expert and create a strong network of platform vendors and partners.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 6+ years in leading a team of application engineers.
  • 8+ years of experience in application design and development.
  • Has customer service first approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Experience in managing resources and escalations.
  • Proven track record in planning and delivering solutions in a fast-paced, pressured environment in an agile framework (JIRA).
  • Extensive experience in deploying and supporting M365 and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in deploying and supporting digital signage, wayfinding, and video applications.
  • Experience in managing technology life cycle in a global enterprise environment.
  • Experience in proposing projects and status to executive leadership.
  • Experience in designing and deploying live events and virtual cloud platforms.
  • Experience in AV programming (QSC, Crestron, DSP).
  • Experience in API development with Microsoft Graph API, RESTful.
  • Experience in using Python and PowerShell for automation.
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, proxy, NDI, NVX, HLS, RTMP, TCP, UDP.
  • Strong knowledge of data center, cloud, network, and security architectures for SaaS and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $152,200 to $220,850 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
