The Sr. Manager, Benefits will work under the direction of the Director, Benefits to analyze data and key trends as well as oversee key benefits projects and initiatives. This role will proactively liaise and leverage external resources (vendors and consultants) and internal corporate partners (HR, Payroll, Finance, etc.) to identify gaps and create efficient processes and programs related to Benefits. The Sr. Manager, Benefits will also play an active role in overseeing implementation of various department projects and initiatives.
What You Will Do:

Serves as subject matter expert and obtains regular updates on leaves of absences, disability and workers' compensation programs for the Firm. Provides guidance to the team members who interact with employees on leaves of absence requests and workers compensation situations. Partners with HR Business Partners, Managing Director of Total Rewards and HRIS, and other senior management on complex leave of absence and disability situations to resolve in the best interest of the firm.

Serves as the point person for escalated issues.

Works in conjunction with the Director, HRIS, Sr. HR Operations Manager and Payroll team to develop, implement, and oversee auditing of departmental processes and procedures related to the administration of benefit plans. Ensure adherence to all federal, state and city regulations and reporting requirements related to benefit and leave administration.

Responsible for the flawless execution of all aspects of the annual open enrollment process, including active participation in the firm-wide health fairs.

Assist Director, Benefits with annual budget process and on-going financial analytics.

Liaises with benefit carriers and vendors to resolve escalated issues, ensure SLAs and maintain relationship.

Works closely with brokers and the Director, Benefits to review benchmarking, evaluate existing programs and suggest ways to improve and ensure the firm offers a competitive benefits package.

Ensures the team maintains and updates relevant communication pieces, such as open enrollment guides, web page content, etc.

Maintains current knowledge of trends, developments and legislative rulings related to benefits and Human Resources. Maintains current knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR and other relevant privacy laws and ensures protection of privacy when dealing with protected health information.
Who You Are:

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills, as well as strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Experience managing vendor relationships and strong influence and negotiation skills required.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously.

Innate integrity and excellent judgment and decision-making abilities required. The ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.

A process improvement mindset is strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
-
A minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience, with at least 8 years of related benefits experience.

Working knowledge of all federal and state requirements (i.e. COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, etc.)
-
Experience working with HRIS systems, Workday a plus.

Periodic travel to other firm offices
