The Senior HRIS Specialist, HRIS and Analytics is primarily responsible for the design, support, and maintenance of assigned Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), supporting outbound and inbound integrations. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, maximizing efficiency by analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities as well as systems administration and maintenance, evaluation of functionality, design and configurations, testing changes, report writing and development of integrations between systems both internal and external. The Senior HRIS Specialist also supports system releases based testing and is responsible for project management of small to mid-size People Group projects.
This is a remote role that can sit anywhere in the United States.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results
People:
- Proactively partner with key stakeholders and leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement through leverage or enhancement of existing or new functionality within People Technology systems, and share best practices.
Client:
- Design, develop, configure, and implement People Technology enhancements based on requests from internal clients requirements, recommendations, and business needs.
- Create reports and dashboards based on business and internal client needs.
- Participates in the development of project plans, initiatives projects as needed and contributes to other People Group projects.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation for all systems. Creates training materials and trains new end-users and team members on processes and functionality.
Value:
- Assist in the implementation and deployment of enhancements and feature releases in People Technology systems.
- Ensure organizational hierarchy and structure is consistent with the needs of the Firm, and works with key stakeholders to ensure data is appropriately aligned and flows correctly to other systems.
- Manage the review and testing for newly implemented functionality as well as regular service updates. Define test criteria, test scripts, and ensure that adequate testing is performed on system modifications to provide quality assurance of data, resolves any issues from the updates and patches.
- Research and resolve system problems and recommends system and/or process improvements.
- Monitor interfaces between People Technology, other internal systems, and external vendor systems. Work with vendors to research and resolve all system errors.
- Perform data conversion and data validation activities, and mass data loads in People Group systems as assigned.
- Manage internal controls requirements for People Technology system processes.
- Drive all aspects of system reporting, including creation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, EEO compliance reports, and ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity in all People Technology systems by running audit reports, investigating errors, identifying re-occurring trends, and taking corrective action to ensure data integrity.
- Establish and maintain up-to-date People Technology functional documentation, standard operating procedures, as well a comprehensive People Technology reports library.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field.
- At least five to seven years of related experience, including significant exposure to HR Information Systems, data analysis, and reporting and must have a solid understanding of Human Resources data and processes.
- Functional and expert configuration knowledge of the Workday system and Report Writer are strongly desired skills.(I think these should be marked required)
- Experience with delivering and supporting Workday HCM is strongly preferred (change to required) for this position. Also add T&A, Absence as required and Recruiting as desired skills
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to come up with cross functional solutions and options in collaboration with functional team members and People Group stakeholders
- Pro-certification in Workday HCM / Time & Attendance / Absence / Recruiting would be a plus
- Knowledge of Merger & Acquisitions in Workday is a plus
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have - Advanced Excel skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor office environment.
- Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Occasional long periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: Less than 10%.
- For Denver, CO-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$105,000 - $130,000.
- For New York, NY-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$120,000-$150,000.
- For Bellevue, WA- based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is
$110,000-$132,000.
- For Carlsbad, Glendale, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Diego, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $110,000-$132,000.
- For Oakland and San Jose, CA-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $120,000-$150,000.
