JOB SUMMARY

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually.

Work location: Hybrid; Vancouver, Washington.

Holland is seeking an experienced and driven GL professional with high communication skills and a focus on details, to join our collaborative and intricate team as Senior GL Accountant at our corporate office in downtown Vancouver, Washington. The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting for their assigned portfolio managed by Holland Residential in accordance with Holland Partner Group's Core Values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and supervision to the GL Accounting Team to ensure they are successfully performing their assigned role.
  • Manage relationship between Holland Residential Accounting and ownership accounting.
  • Assist with new property setups.
  • Assist with property sales including expense and revenue prorations.
  • Assist with annual audits.
  • Assist with annual tax preparation reporting.
  • Review and approve monthly financial reporting.
  • Review and approve monthly bank statement reconciliations.
  • Assist with Capital Improvement reporting and funding.
  • Create all monthly cash distributions to ownership entities.
  • Manage tax and insurance funding requirements for properties.
  • Complete general ledger monthly tracking sheets.
  • Distribute monthly and quarterly reporting to lenders.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in accounting strongly preferred.

Experience: Four years minimum property management accounting experience or two years public accounting experience required. Bachelor's degree in accounting may be considered in lieu of some work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with Yardi software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with intermediate excel skills.
  • Ability to supervise, train and mentor employees.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure, reassess daily competing priorities and proactively meet cyclical deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Attendance: This full-time position is exempt and requires the ability to be present and available during business hours to meet company and department needs. Additional hours or flexible schedule may be required.

This position also requires:

  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
