The Role at a Glance

The Sr. Financial Analyst – Variable Annuities will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives supporting the accounting, hedging, and product teams for our variable annuity product lines. They will prepare, analyze and report on complex financial information and provide management with a complex financial perspective for variable annuities.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepares, analyzes and reports on complex financial information for Lincoln’s variable annuity product line.
  • Provides management with a complex and comprehensive financial perspective, including potential mitigation solutions.
  • Evaluates financial information to develop and deliver complex, standard, and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Provides subject matter expertise and support to the financial analysis team in the preparation and delivery of complex financial information for their assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to team members and internal stakeholders on complex analysis of financial information.
  • Directs and/or participates in departmental or enterprise wide projects.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves

  • 5 - 7+ Years experience in financial analysis or financial reporting that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise working with annuity products
  • Ability to be innovative and an aptitude to drive and accept change
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical skills and close attention to detail is necessary
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
